I found that [for great justice]+[whirling axe]+conjure X makes for a nice change in axe attacks, runs just like Dslash.

First the damage with a conjure is almost equal to Dslah without conjure, second you dont attack targets that block

Never said it was perfectly identical, just a fun and effective alternative.

The rest of the build generally looks like this.

[flail][dismember][executioners strike][disarm] or[disrupting chop][lions comfort]

You'd want Enduring Harmony in that, since constantly using Whirling Axe kills your adrenaline gain, so the longer FGJ lasts, the more you can use other adrenal skills.

The alternative is to use Cleave instead.

Pretty much any healing and a res will help. Also you seem to have a lot of adrenaline needy skills which can really hurt by taking a long time to build that adrenaline, and if hit with a skill that cancels energy gain

I would say that a self heal is mostly useless... The places where you would actually need it, with hard hitting opponents (like HM) the amount of health warrior's self heals heal for is minimal compared to the amount of damage you're probably taking. 100-130hp with healsig/lion's comfort every few seconds doesn't really cut it (and thats if you use it on ever recharge, which means you're most likely using it instead of pumping out damage) you're usually better off just taking a better skill and taking more than 1 healer. Even a hero healer would suffice.

As for a rez... If your monks are dying a lot and you're having to rez them, then you should really reconsider your play style. Shit happens and they die sometimes, however, I don't think that dedicating a whole skill slot to rezing them once in awhile is worth it. The only time I see a rez being necessary is when doing a mission where if your party whipes, they get sent back to the outpost and have to redo it.

Actually while enduring harmony is usefull, its certainly not needed.

Keep in mind that your using whirlng axe on every attack, you only use dismember/exicutioners as a finishing spike.

When FGJ is down you can reduce the use of whirling, focusing instead on dismembe/exicution and interupting.

We are talking PvE here so the 20seconds its up for is more than enough to wipe most mobs and your going to have enough down time between mobs for it to recharge.

Another option is to bing [Air of Superiority] with you and hope you get a full skill recharge during the battle, it also helps with energy/conditons as well.

I thought Swords had the fastest attack rate out of all warrior weapons, so you'd be hitting with the +15 damage (or whatever it is) from the conjure more often, thus being more effective than an axe.

Thats what i've always assumed, anyway.

Sword and axe have the same attack speed.

Anyways, stop comparing whirling axe and dragon slash, the two are both extremely different. Saying it runs just like dragon slash is a dumb thing to say.

DSlash is still higher damage, and you can always run Conjure with that.
And sometimes enemies have blocking skills, some which target allies.

Very true, but if you wish to play with an Axe, this build is very effective. If your in a zone where there is lots of blocking you have a necro bring [rigor mortis] or someone bring enchant removals.

Blocking does have the same effect on most all war builds, you learn to adapt to it or you fail.

Keep in mind this is just a FUN alternative to Dslash, not trying to say its a perfect match or that its the most effecient build you can make.

This is one of the few Axe builds that allow you to use an attack skill EVERY time you attack.

Just another Proph/EOTN build:

[[email protected]][[email protected]][axe [email protected]][axe [email protected]][cyclone [email protected]][drunken master][fgj][res sig]

I know axe rake and axe twist are pretty por skills but I was having fun applying loads of conditions and they are nice and spammable, in fact the whole build is spam city, a 4 adrenaline attack and three 5 adrenaline attacks are easily charged by cyclone axe and FGJ!.

Well just an idea for a bit of variation.
